BASICS
Season 1, 2, and 3 rulebooks are to be used
*The AZURE FOREST pack will not be used. If you have those cards in your deck, please remove them before the tournament and replace with the normal cards.
Bring pitches, counters, dice, rulebooks, cards
Bring two copies of your roster: One for yourself, one for your opponent.
Front hexes must be marked on your team
All models used must be Mantic official Dreadball models
All models must be numbered between 1 and 14
All injuries and deaths will reset between each game

*All models should be painted.  It doesn’t have to be an award winning paint job, but must be more than just primer/spray coat.  You’ll be permitted to play, but having a painted team gives your team an additional tiebreaker over a non-painted team.

TEAM BUILDING
Your team starts as shown in one of the 3 rulebooks (players, coaching dice, cards, coaches as listed)

In addition, all Coaches receive an additional 20MC to spend on their team. This allows them to:

-Purchase additional players for their team at the cost stated in that team's rulebook (no more than double starting amount per position)
-Purchase up to an additional 2 Coaching Dice (6MC per Dice)
-Purchase up to an additional 2 DreadBall Cards (10MC per Card)
-Purchase extra player Advancements at 5mc per ability. Before the first game, you choose which player to receive the upgrade, and then choose to use the Season 1 or Season 2 chart for each player, and then roll. Make sure to mark the player so your opponent knows they have upgrades. No player may receive more than one upgrade.  You cannot change which player(s) receive the upgrades between games.  You cannot use the extra coaching skill charts.
-Purchase Coaches or Cheerleaders for 8mc each as per rules on Page 8 of the Season 2 Rulebook

YOU CANNOT PURCHASE ANY MVPS
YOU CANNOT PURCHASE ANY FREE AGENTS
ANY LEFTOVER MC'S ARE LOST

Whatever upgrades you choose will be the same for each game. The only thing that can change will be what skills you happen to roll. You cannot change which player(s) receive the upgrades between games.

Randomly determine who home team is and begin the game.

Each game will have a preparation time of approximately 15 minutes where players will receive their match pairings and resolve all pre-game items (setting up board, determining home/away teams, drawing cards, placing models on the board, etc.)

Games will have a 1 hour time limit.

No sudden death will be played. The game ends either by landslide or all 14 turns expired. The game can also end if TO calls time.

Keep track of:

3 turn injuries
Kills
3 point strikes
4 point strikes
Cheers at end of game

SCORING
4pts for a Landslide Win
3pts for a Win by 1-6 points
1pts for a Draw
1pt for a loss

Injuries and Deaths caused by any means count. Exception is getting hurt by the ball launching, since a team did not cause that, that would not grant bonus points.

AWARDS
1st place - Highest tournament points
2nd place - 2nd highest tournament points
Most Brutal - Highest number of 3 turn injuries and kills total
Fan Favorite - Highest number of Cheers total

Players are not eligible for more than one award.  The awards for Most Brutal and Fan Favorite will be given to the next highest player in that category that did not already win an award.

Tournament Organizer will break ties in the following fashion:
1. Head to head record
2. Total number of 3 turn injuries, kills, 3 point strikes, and 4 point strikes combined.
3. Total number of cheers
4. If one team is unpainted and the other team is painted, then the painted team will win.
5. If all other tiebreakers fail, then a D6 rolloff.
